Hands down, the best empanadas!

I have been buying these for a few years now. I have tried a lot of different kinds and have never found any I didn't like. When I got an air fryer, I started cooking them in it. Very easy. I usually eat a couple on Sunday evenings.

I have a gluten intolerance, and I was thrilled to find Cassava when I moved to Chicago three years ago. My husband and I have loved these empanadas since our first order, and now our 2 year old is also a fan. Her favorites are the pulled pork, barbacoa, and Angus beef and cheddar. We also really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls, and we’re looking forward to trying the pizzas when they are next available. For those with or without gluten sensitivity, I highly recommend giving Cassava a try!

I have a gluten allergy and have been a customer of Cassava for more than a decade. I eat a lot of their empanadas, especially in the winter. They taste great and are about as healthy as frozen foods can get. No gluten or seed oils, which is foundational for good health. They have a wide variety of choices for their empanadas, and their chocolate rolls are amazing as well. My favorite are the Ruben empanadas, which they only have once in a while. But others like their beef or chicken are great too. This is a great business with great tasting, healthy food!

As already written several times here, in our family and among our friends, we love all of Cassava’s vegetarian empanadas!
Today I want to also point out, that imo their (vegetarian) pizzas are my fave pizza hereabouts. Usually I do not much care for American pizzas, even most of the ones which claim to be “Italian”.
But these ones here is so different, and at the same time so much better!
The crust is perfect, and the toppings are flavorful, but nit overwhelming… It is our go-to delicious quick-meal.

Used to frequent the Clark st store and so glad I can still get them after I moved. The beef and cheddar empanadas are the best, and the chocolate rolls are a crowd favorite.

Texture and flavor were spot on!

My wife and I love the flavours and the textures from the empanadas. Always such a treat. Don’t forget to get the chimichurri!!

Gluten Free Empanadas or Not, they stand in their own! Robust taste and texture! Good Work Team!

I ordered a few dozen Pao de Queijo for a group dinner, and they were a huge hit. The cooking instructions were very clear and they turned out great.
One improvement could be with the pickup information. The website footer, order form, order confirmation email, and order pickup email all had slightly different times for when it could be picked up, so that was confusing.
All in all, I will definitely order again!
